I starting reading every business success book I could get my hands on. In fact that year I read over 30 books on the subject.

It wasn’t until that about my 30th book that it hit me!! The ONE principle that truly transformed my life… I finally figured out that I was NOT in the mortgage business, but I WAS in the MARKETING of my mortgage business!!!

It was like a thunderbolt going off in my head…

I then shifted my study to the field of marketing. I read as many books as fast as I could and attended every marketing seminar I could afford (and some I couldn’t) – and eventually became a certified marketing coach from Duct Tape Marketing.

During that year of ‘transformation’ from that one ‘shift’ in psychology… I went from 1-2 loans a month as a struggling loan officer to well over 10 per month.

The following year I opened up my own branch and eventually was able to sell that business for a nice profit…and I owe it all to that ONE day that I realized..
