How Brand New Consultants Should Get Their First 4-5 Clients

by Jeff Paro

"For a brand new consultant who wants to get their first 4-5 clients, you need to rely completely on networking: personal friends, family, professional organizations, etc. Let you network know what you’re doing and the type of client you are looking for. Ask these three questions: do you know anybody in that category, do you know anybody that can lead me to somebody in that category, and do you know anywhere where people from that category gather? That is how I best expanded my network. Credibility is the next step and a great way to create credibility is by speaking. " – John Carlton
