Confidence or Fear, which one do you cultivate before your talks?

Dear 10X Business Builder,

Some time ago I was participating in a multi-speaker event and I noticed what some inexperienced presenters were doing right before their presentations:

  • Going over their notes
  • Changing their slides
  • Adding new content to their talks
  • Changing their close

For the most part, these behaviors are counter-productive, making you LESS effective in front of the room.  Why?

Because when you change your presentation right before your talk, you go inside your head and you try to figure out how to present them, how to incorporate these ideas into your pre-rehearsed talk.  Unless you are a professional speaker with a lot of experience, you will be unsure how these changes will flow with the previous material you had prepared and, because you spent time engaged in these behaviors, you did NOT spend time putting yourself into the most resourceful “state” before your talk.

Listen in as I show you my “tips” on how I stay focused and avoid making these mistakes.
